Quick Weekend Wrap Up

Sunday's long run was COLD! But I finished it all outside. The cold didn't seem quite as bad because it was really sunny with only a few clouds in the sky. My total time for 10 miles was 1:44 minutes. And when I finished, this is who greeted me:

Today was a swim workout. I shared the pool with about half a dozen kids that are going to the state championships. Good grief, are they fast!!
Details:
4 x (150 swim, 50 stroke, 50 kick)
10 x 50 on :50
500 swim
5 x 100 swim
50 cool down
total 2550 yds
Have a great week everybody! March is almost here!

Nothing like a bit of incentive to help with your swim!

It was a hot Sunday here for running which meant getting up early to do a long run and even then it was quite warm by the time I finished.

Impressive - 10 miles in 14.4 SECONDS lol... people will think you are bionic or something. Great work!

Just read about your injuries - so sorry to hear and hope nothing old will come back and nothing new will develop. It's been cold here too...

I know what you mean about those young swimmers. Once a 12 year old joined our masters team for a morning and she led the fastest lane without missing a sendoff - she was even faster than the guy who's 6'3" and all muscle. Amazing.

Hello there ! So sorry that I haven't dropped by lately. Don't you hate it when life gets in the way of your training (and reading about training!)

I hate those young fast kids too! Don't you just wish you could bottle their speed and enthusiasm. Actually we've just reminded me that I haven't been in the pool yet this month!!

Fast kids..ohh..last night in my long swim, there was this girl that swim beside my lane. Boy can she go. I thought I was pretty good. Then I realize i have ot stop after a lap to rest while she has done 20 laps already :)

Elle,
She loves to run. I started running her at like 10 weeks old - it was the only way I could burn off all her puppy energy!!

I thought I was a slow swimmer, I think the same thing about our local HS swimmers. One has once asked me why I'm running in place in the pool!!

Great run!! Pippin loves to soak up the sun, too! He gets very huffy when we try to be mean and lay down in the floor in the sunny spots.

Have a great week!
