Rocky River 5 Miler

I got up early this morning to run the Rocky River 5 Miler. It's a small local race I do every year. My goal every year is to come in under 40 minutes. It hasn't happened yet. Although I did get second in my age group this year. Here are my splits:
Mile 1: 7:44
Mile 2: 8:24
Mile 3: 9:12
Mile 4: 8:55
Mile 5: 8:40
Finish Time: 42:58, 8:36 min/mile pace

Nice job! We gotta have goals even when they seem out of reach.

Hi Neese!
I haven't splurged on a Garmin, yet - I use an Ironman Timex watch, 50 lap counter. It has 3 alarms, a countdown timer, an interval timer, and the regular chronograph. It is just techy enough for me without going overboard.

Small, local races tend to be some of the best! Congrats on the bling!

NICE job!!! :) I have yet to break the 40 minute mark for the Malachi or Turkey Trot...freaking 40:02 at Malachi--damn hill gets me every time! :) Perhaps we can try to break that line sometime together!

Way to bring home some hardware!
